2.3 Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and for all activities that occur under your account.

2.4 User Responsibilities: Users must use the website in a manner that does not violate any laws or regulations. Malicious or illegal activities are strictly prohibited.

  3. Orders and Payment3.1 Order Acceptance: All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason.

3.2 Pricing: All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT. We reserve the right to change prices at any time without prior notice.

3.3 Payment Methods: We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards and PayPal. Payment must be received in full before dispatching any products.

    3.4 Deposits and Cancellations:

    • A deposit may be required to secure your booking or to initiate the procurement of materials for your project. Please note the following updated terms regarding deposits:
Restocking Fee: If you cancel your order after materials have been ordered but before work has commenced, a restocking fee of 25% of the materials total on your invoice will be retained from your deposit.
This restocking fee covers supplier restocking charges, shipping costs, administrative processing, and any merchant fees charged by your payment card provider.
The restocking fee applies only to the materials portion of your invoice, not to labour or other services.
Any remaining balance of your deposit, after deducting the restocking fee and any card merchant fees, will be refunded to you.
Notice Period: We require a minimum of 14 working days’ notice to cancel your booking and be eligible for any refund of your deposit (minus applicable fees). Cancellations with less than 14 working days’ notice may result in forfeiture of your full deposit, depending on the stage of material procurement and project preparation.
We strongly recommend reviewing all project details and confirming your order before making a deposit. If you have questions about how the restocking fee, card merchant charges, or notice period may apply to your booking, please contact us at info@dav-tec.co.uk.
    • Cancellations After Work Has Commenced
If you cancel your booking after work has already started on your project:
      The deposit will be non-refundable.
You will be liable for any costs incurred up to the point of cancellation, including:
The full cost of all materials ordered and used,
Any labour charges for work already completed,
Any additional admin or merchant card fees associated with the transaction.
If the costs incurred exceed your deposit, you will be invoiced for the outstanding balance.
We always recommend discussing any changes or concerns with us as early as possible to avoid unnecessary charges. For questions or to discuss your specific situation, please contact info@dav-tec.co.uk.
  4. Shipping and Delivery

4.1 Shipping Area: We ship products to addresses within the United Kingdom only.

4.2 Delivery Time: Delivery times vary depending on the product and shipping method selected. Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout.

4.3 Shipping Costs: Shipping costs are calculated based on the delivery address and the weight and dimensions of the products ordered. Shipping costs will be displayed at checkout.

  5. Returns and Refunds
  6. Non-Faulty Items:
    • Notification Period: You must notify us of your intent to return a non-faulty item within 14 days of receipt.
    • Return Period: The item must be returned to us within 30 days of receipt.
    • Condition and deductions: You may examine the goods as you would in a shop. If their value is reduced by handling beyond that — for example fitting or installation, or loss of original packaging, accessories or documentation — we may deduct that reduction in value from your refund, assessed against the resale value of the item as returned.
    • Shipping Costs: You are responsible for the cost of returning the item.
    • Your refund: We will refund the price paid, together with the cost of standard delivery, within 14 days of receiving the goods back or of receiving proof that you have sent them, whichever is earlier. Where you chose a delivery option more expensive than our standard service, we refund the standard cost only. Refunds are made to the original payment method.

    5.2 Faulty Items:

    • Notification and Return Period: You have 30 days from the date of receipt to notify us of a fault and return the item.
    • Condition: The item should be returned in its original packaging with all accessories and documentation included, if possible.
    • Shipping Costs: We will cover the cost of returning the faulty item.

5.3 Special Conditions for RCD330/360 Units:

    • Warranty Period: RCD330/360 units come with a 6-month warranty from the date of invoice.
    • Fault Notification: Customers must inform Dav-Tec immediately with full details of any issues with RCD330/360 units.
    • Repair and Refund Policy: RCD330/360 units will only be refunded if a repair cannot be made.

5.4 Work Carried Out By Us
Customers are responsible for thoroughly inspecting their vehicle upon collection and prior to leaving the premises. Any damage, faults, or discrepancies must be reported to our team immediately. Reporting promptly allows us to investigate while the evidence is fresh, and issues raised after the vehicle has left our care are harder for us to verify. Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights, including our duty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to carry out work with reasonable care and skill.

    5.5 Bespoke, Custom-Made and Pre-Cut Products
In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the right to cancel/refund does not apply to goods that are made to your specifications, clearly personalised, or pre-cut to size. For this reason, all bespoke, customised, or pre-cut products are non-refundable and non-returnable, except in the event of a manufacturing fault.

We strongly recommend that you check all measurements, specifications, and order details before placing your order.

5.6 Fitting, Installation and Other Work
Where you ask us to begin fitting, installation, calibration, remapping or other workshop work and acknowledge at the time of booking that you will lose the right to cancel once it is complete, the right to cancel does not apply to that work once it has been fully performed. This is provided for by regulation 36 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Your rights in respect of work that is faulty or not carried out with reasonable care and skill are unaffected.

    5.7 Business Customers
Where you buy in the course of a business, the cancellation rights in clauses 5.1 to 5.6 do not apply. Returns of non-faulty goods are at our discretion, and where accepted a 25% restocking fee applies to returns in excess of £30.00. Goods must be unused and returned in their original packaging.

    5.8 Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

  7. Warranty
6.1 Manufacturer Warranty: All products and services that include the fitment of products come with the manufacturer’s warranty, which guarantees that the product will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for the period specified by the manufacturer.

6.2 Proof of Purchase: A valid proof of purchase is required to claim warranty services.

6.3 Exclusions: The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, cosmetic damage, or damage caused by external factors.

11.3 Total Liability: Our total liability to you for any damages arising out of or in connection with the use of our products or services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the product or service.
