Dav-Tec is primarily focused on VW Transporter audio, but we also take on selected bespoke VAG audio builds where the project suits our style of work.

These are not basic speaker swaps or random part-fitting jobs. We focus on clean OEM+ audio systems, DSP amplifiers, subwoofers, acoustic treatment, proper wiring and sound-quality tuning for suitable VW, Audi, CUPRA, SEAT and Škoda vehicles.

For VAG owners who want the audio to match the car

If you own a Golf R, Audi S3, RS3, CUPRA, vRS or another well-specified VAG model, the factory audio can often feel like the weak point of the car.

This service is for owners who want a properly planned system: better speakers, improved door acoustics, DSP amplification, controlled bass and a clean OEM+ finish.

We are not positioning this as a cheap speaker swap, radio replacement or quick-fit audio job. The aim is a finished system that sounds, feels and fits like it belongs in the vehicle.

Most proper VAG audio builds start with the front stage, acoustic treatment and system integration. From there, we can add DSP amplification, subwoofer control and more detailed tuning depending on how far you want to take the car.

Front Stage & Acoustic Treatment Build

A focused front-end audio build for customers who want the car to sound clearer, fuller and more controlled without moving straight into a full DSP and subwoofer system.

This route focuses on the front stage and door environment, with suitable speakers, acoustic treatment, correct integration parts and careful setup.

Best for owners who want a proper OEM+ improvement, not a basic speaker swap.

DSP & Subwoofer System Build

Our main route for customers who want a properly transformed audio system.

This build may include premium speakers, acoustic treatment, DSP amplification, compact subwoofer integration and system tuning.

Best for Golf R, Audi S3, RS3, CUPRA, vRS and other performance VAG models where the audio should genuinely match the rest of the car.

Bespoke Reference Build

For customers who want a serious sound-quality build while keeping the vehicle tasteful, usable and cleanly finished.

This route can include higher-end speakers, DSP amplification, subwoofer design, custom mounting, more involved acoustic treatment and detailed tuning.

Best for high-spec VAG vehicles and owners who want the best result we can sensibly achieve, not the cheapest route.

You have already bought random parts and just need someone to install them.
You are mainly looking for a quick, low-cost job.

In many VAG vehicles, the front doors are a major part of the speaker environment. If the door skin, inner structure and trim panel are resonating or vibrating, even a good speaker can sound thin, loose or messy.

That is why we often recommend proper door acoustic treatment as part of the upgrade.

A DSP amplifier is not just about making the audio louder.

DSP allows the system to be adjusted properly for the car. Speaker levels, timing, crossover points and EQ can all be set so the finished system sounds more balanced, controlled and focused from the driver’s seat.

For many modern VAG vehicles, this is the difference between simply fitting better speakers and building a genuinely premium audio system.

Do you only work on Transporters?

Transporters are still a major part of what we do, but we are expanding selected audio upgrade work into other VAG vehicles, including VW, Audi, CUPRA, SEAT and Škoda models.

Can you upgrade factory premium audio systems?

In many cases, yes. Factory systems such as Beats, Dynaudio, Bang & Olufsen, Sonos and Canton need to be approached properly, so the right upgrade route depends on the vehicle and system fitted.

Is a speaker upgrade enough?

Sometimes, but not always. A speaker upgrade can help, but the best results usually come from treating the doors properly, improving amplification and tuning the system correctly.

Will the car still look standard?

That is usually the aim. Most of our upgrades are designed to look as factory as possible, with the improvements heard rather than seen.

Can you fit parts I have already bought?

We can consider customer-supplied parts where they are suitable, complete and compatible, but this service is mainly aimed at properly planned audio builds using parts we know are right for the vehicle. If you already have parts, we can advise whether they are suitable.
